Passed away suddenly at St. Joseph’s Hospital on October 10, 2014 at the age of 67. She will be missed by her cherished cat, Spirit, friends, and family. Lois Ann started her career as a RPN at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She went on to graduate from McMaster with a BScN and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a Dialysis Nurse, where she met and married her beloved husband, the late John. She then continued her education obtaining a BA in Theology. From there she moved on to become a nurse educator at the Henderson Hospital specializing in Gerontology and wound care, while obtaining her Masters in Education and working part time teaching nurses and PSWs at Mohawk College. She ended her working career as a Placement Coordinator at the CCAC. We would like to thank the staff at Bayshore Home Health and the CCAC. A special thanks to Michelle, Terri, and Sherry. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 7 East Avenue South.(between King and Main St.), on Tuesday October 14, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King, 714 King St. W, on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.
