Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Wednesday October 5. 2016. She was born on November 6, 1961 in Manchester Jamaica. Nadia is survived by her husband Delroy Oconnor, her mother Violet Warner, father James Dixon ( Jamaica WI.). Brothers Duke, Horace, Paul, Clive, Gregory, Steve, Kevin. Sisters: Noreen, Lorna, Andrea, michelle, Marlene, Sharon and Keisha. Sister in laws Christene Dixon and others. Nephews, Neices and Godsons. Nadia will be missed by her many relatives and very close friends. She will be greatly missed by her church family (Apostolic Holiness Church). Nadia will be missed by the staff and students at Thornelodge Public School in Mississauga where she worked for 27 years. (PEEL DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD) Nadia enjoyed singing praying and worshipping at church. She was a very compassionate soul who was always willing to go the extra mile for others. Special thanks to Doctor Domenic, Dr. Miller, Dr. B. Myers and all the staff on E3, C4 and E14 at the Juravinski Hospital. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. on Friday October 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Home going Celebration Service will be held at Westdale Reformed Church, 201 Paradise Road North Hamilton, ON on Saturday October 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Center would be greatly appreciated.
