Obituary for Henrietta "Hetty" Reilly

Henrietta "Hetty" Reilly
Reilly, Henrietta (Hetty) Gough
nee McKenna

Surrounded by family, my Mum died peacefully at St Peter's Hospital on January 19, 2017. Mum was born in Glasgow, Scotland on September 4, 1924. She was predeceased by her parents John and Isabella McKenna, Michael, her loving husband of 70 years, her sons Michael and John, her siblings: Charlie, Maggie, Peter, James and Isabella. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Maureen (Paul Wilkinson, Winnipeg), daughter-in-law, Alexandra Nehren, (Venezuela), three cherished grandsons, Eric (Hamilton) Liam and Falk (Venezuela) and numerous nieces and nephews (Hamilton and other cities in ON, Scotland, USA, S. Africa and Australia). Mum was always active. She bowled, gardened, did crafts and played cards. Most of all, Mum loved to dance, travel and host parties. .......there's always room for one more! Cremation has taken place to be followed by a private internment later at Our Lady of the Angels. A celebration of life will be held at 700 Upper Kenilworth, #1004 on Sunday, February 12, from 3 to 7pm. Please write a shared memory for the family. Thank you to CCAC for their suggestions. The family is particularly appreciative of the compassionate care received from Dr. Taniguchi and Dr. Hattersley and their teams at Juravinski Cancer Center and St Peter’s Hospital. If you so wish, please make a donation to one of the hospitals in memory of Mum.
