Peacefully at home on April 11, 2017 surrounded by family, Marjorie Noonan in her 90th year. Marjorie was the first daughter of William Frederick and Leila Harris, and was born on January 15,1927 in Hamilton. She was educated at Loretto Academy in Hamilton, and St. Joseph's Hospital Nursing School in Toronto, graduating as a Registered Nurse (RN) in 1950.  Upon graduation, she served as an RN at the Hamilton General Hospital for three years. On August 23,1952, she married Walter Kevin Noonan and they had seven children: Mark (Charlene), Ann (Chris), Pat (Claude RIP), Greg, John (Heather), Doug (Tina) and Kevin (RIP). When their children were all in school, Marge joined the staff of the Henderson General Hospital, where she worked for 20 years primarily in Psychiatric Department earning a Psychiatric Nursing Certificate from Mohawk College as well.  She retired in 1992. Marjorie and Kevin are survived by their children, their loving great-grandchildren Caoihme, Seth, and Emmalee, and their 11 grandchildren Cale, Sibohan (Matt), Jim, Dave, Joe, Stephan, Micha, Ashley, Meghan, Austin, and Matthew.  Marge and Kevin loved spending time with their family both here in Ontario as well as British Columbia regularly. Marge had a love of children, gardening, walking, playing cards, and reading. For Marge, her faith is the most appreciated gift from God. “Where two or three people meet together in my name, I shall be there with them.”  Matthew 18:20. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave.) on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 2 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Parish (440 King St. E.) on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.
