Obituary for Carol Ann Marshall (Hickey)
Marshall, Carol Ann (nee Hickey)
Peacefully at Extendicare Hamilton on Thursday, April 20, 2017, in her 84th year. Mom will finally be reunited in heaven with beloved husband, Andy. Dearly loved mother of Mary Ellen Schiestel (Peter), Kelly Wilkieson (Larry), Christine VanNatter (John Cruden), Nancy White (Bradley) and Donna Mahon (Don). Cherished Grandma of 17 and Great-grandma to 12. Special sister of Paul Hickey of California and predeceased by brothers Bill, Jack and Tom Hickey and sister Mary Hart. Dear sister-in-law of Doreen and the late Jim Marshall. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Mom has been blessed with many long-time friends who meant the world to her. The family wishes to thank the army of friends, relatives and neighbours who supported mom throughout her battle. Heartfelt thanks also to caregiver Gillian and to the dedicated staff at Extendicare Hamilton Long Term Care. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 79 Freelton Road, Freelton, on Tuesday, April 25th at 11am. Cremation to follow. A private burial to take place at a later date.
