Obituary for Charles Alexander Watt

Charles Alexander Watt
Charles Alexander Watt

On May 10th surrounded by loving family members, we lost Charles Watt who was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandpapa, great-great-grandpapa and the perfect gentleman. Passing on the day of his 97th birthday, he received the ultimate present and was reunited with his beloved wife of 72 years, Alice (March 2013). Loving father of Elizabeth Kelly (Bernie) and Robert Watt (Calgary, Alberta). Grandfather to Shannon Ulgiati (Maurizio), Brad Kelly (Jennifer), and Patrick (Jennifer). Great grandfather to 10, and great-great-grandfather to one. Charles will be sadly missed by all the lives he touched as a Stelco retiree and long standing member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters. Charles and Alice were founding members of St. John the Baptist parish, frequent travellers, southern snowbirds and loved spending summers at their Kawartha cottage with family and friends. Friends and family will be welcomed at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 1919 King Street East on Friday, May 12th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass will be offered at St. John the Baptist Church on Saturday, May 13th at 11am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, or McMaster Children’s Hospital would be appreciated. Charles’ family would like to thank Abington Court Retirement Home, Dr. Richard Levy and nurse Karen for their excellent care. On-line condolences can be made to www.dermodys.com
