Joseph James Corsaro, 82, of Hamilton, Ontario, died July 11, 2017.

Joseph was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, September 4, 1934. After growing up in Sydney, Joseph travelled across Canada and lived in many cities, including Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Toronto, before settling in Hamilton the past 31 years. He was a veteran of the Canadian armed forces and worked most of his adult life as a respected printing press operator, making a significant contribution to the trade, for which he received an award. He was also an accomplished body builder,boxer, and chef.

Joseph is survived by his many children: Vince Corsaro, Mary Corsaro, Joe Corsaro Jr., Luigi Taccone, Shawn Duguay, and Autumn Getty, as well as by many grandchildren, including Gino and Rose Taccone.

Joseph is remembered for his great skill in telling entertaining stories, as well as for the advice he provided to his children.

Family visitation will take place at 9 am on Thursday, July 20, 2017, to be followed by public visitation at 10 am, and a funeral service at 11 am. There will be a reception in Beasley Park near Elgin St. at 12:30 pm. All friends and family are welcome.
