Condolences

Condolence From: Cheryl Robertson
Condolence: I spent much of my teen years at Mrs. Pead’s house in the 70’s. It was always the social center for weekend activities- the go to place. We were always welcomed and she would always stretch whatever supper she had planned like the loaves and fishes Bible story to accommodate whoever Cathie brought home unannounced. Though I was a close friend of Cathie, it was her mum who in many ways drew us in. She was an active listener, not judgmental and offered sound advice for all of our teen angst. She was never too busy or too tired to hear our life dramas. Over the years, I kept in touch with her and she remained one of the kindest women I knew. She was the cornerstone of her family. She ran a variety store for years and worked incredibly long hours to support her family. This was uncommon at the time and in many ways, she served as the role model to all of us who went on to balance career and family. She was the first working mom I knew. I appreciated her. Indeed, her passing ends an era.

Condolence: Dear Becky, Sean, Cathie & Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your Granny/Mom was a special lady, in my mind the epitome of the feisty Scot. I remember her fondly. We will be in Scotland in a few weeks and will raise a glass to her.
With love,
Meighan (& Randy & kids)
