Setterlund, Orell Louise (nee Chapman)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Orell Setterlund on October 19, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital just one day shy of her 91st birthday. Beloved wife of the late Olaf Setterlund. Loving mother of Nancy Setterlund, Thelma Leech (Fred), Jim Setterlund (Liuba), and Louise Carter (Setterlund). Dear grandma of David Leech (Stacey), Douglas Leech (Pauline), Ally Stanhope (Shawn), and Carly Stanhope and her Great granddaughter Robyn Leech. Predeceased by her brothers Floyd and Vincent Chapman. Survived by her nephews, Dale & Perri Chapman. Orell worked for many years at Dundurn Castle as a historical interpreter, was a girl guide leader and was a quilter who was a past member of the Hilltop Quilters and the Hamilton Quilters Guild. She will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her faith. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Tuesday, October 24th from 10-11am followed by a service in the chapel at 11am. Burial to take place at Woodland Cemetery.
