Obituary for Lisa VanderWerf
VanderWerf, Lisa (nee Heinis)
Peacefully on December 10, 2017 at the age of 79, we lost our devoted Wife, Mother and Oma. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Piet VanderWerf. She will be sadly missed by her children, Diane (Chris), Veronica (Dennis), Kevin (Allison), Eugene (Bonnie) and Cheryl; grandchildren Becky (Tom), Bryan (Jacqueline), Steven, Callista, Faith, Jaynie (Isaiah) and Jonathan; and great grandchildren Savannah and Micah. Lisa was also a loving foster mother who opened her heart and home to over 50 children. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Avenue, Hamilton) on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. with a Chapel Service to follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
