Obituary for Sergio Volpini
Volpini, Sergio
Peacefully passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on February 15, 2018 in his 84th year. Loving husband of Antonietta for 48 years. Cherished father of Nicoletta (Carmen) and Maria (Dana). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Chloe, Katarina, and Christian. Predeceased by his parents Battista and Maria, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Giovanni and Nicoletta. Survived by his brother Nino of Italy, and predeceased by his brother Franco and sister Giovanna. Brother-in-law of Caterina (the late Battista), the late Maria, and Luisa (the late Sebastiano). Survived by many nieces and nephews of Italy and Canada. Sergio had a passion for his garden and a great love for his grandchildren. Special thanks to the many staff at the Juravinski Hospital for their compassion and support through this time. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave.) on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony’s Parish (165 Prospect St N.) on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences can be made at www.dermodys.com
