Ennett, Maria (née Genua)

Peacefully, at Emmanuel House on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, Maria Ennett in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of Mark. Loving mother of Peter Ennett (Melissa Visentin), and Talia Ennett (Connor Thompson). Dear sister of Nina Grier, and Roselie Burtch (Rob). Loved aunt of James, Eric, and Sarah Grier. Predeceased by her parents, Rosalia and Pietro Genua. Maria held St. Joseph Parish close to her heart as a long-time parishioner, and as church secretary for 20 years. Maria touched so many lives in the parish, especially the children. Maria’s family wishes to thank the caring staff of the Juravinski Cancer Centre, in particular Dr. Mukherjee, Dr. Whelan, and Dr. Goldberg, and the compassionate caregivers at Emmanuel House who helped Maria and her family along their journey. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Sunday, February 25 from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m., with Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Locke St. S. at Herkimer, on Monday, February 26 at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Dundas, Monday at 1:30 p.m. Memorial Donations to Emmanuel House, or Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
