ROGERSON, Margaret Mary (nee Mckenna)
Our strong, determined, loving mother, grandmother, and Harold's Island girl peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 7th , 2018, at the age of 86. Sixty-two years ago, Harold and Margaret tied the knot, shortly after came, Mike, Janice, Margie (Richard), Marlene (Greg), and Anne Marie (Steve). The arrival of Margaret and Harold's grandchildren, David, Tracey, Mitchell, Paige, Darby, and Eric, brought a new-found sense of love and happiness to our family. We thank you mom and dad for the countless hours spent guiding and loving our children. Margaret was the devoted and loving sister of Theresa (Henry, deceased), Terence (Margaret), Merlin (deceased)(Jean), Johnny (Mae), George (deceased), Emmett (Joan, deceased), Herman and Reginald (Betty Lou). Margaret always had room in her heart for her numerous nieces, nephews, and friends both on and off the Island. Especially, for her cousin and long-time best friend, Laura Brazel. Margaret's handmade quilts, and the sweet scents of her homemade apple pies, fresh biscuits, and strawberry jams will be missed, but never forgotten by her friends and family. Special Thank you to Dr. Fraser and the Nurses for your kindness and dedication to our beloved Margaret. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Friday, March 9th from 6-9pm. Prayers will be said on Friday at 8:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (Our Lady of Lourdes site) on Saturday, March 10th at 11am. Burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
