Obituary for Frances Mildred Wood (Foster)

Passed away peacefully in her 95 th  year. Adored wife of late William Willan Wood (1988).  Loving Mother of
Bob (Cathy), Mary and Leslie. Loving Grandma of Heather Rodriguez (Leo). Dear Great Grandma of Ethan,
Addison and Layla. Predeceased by her Parents Dr. Robert and Leah Foster (nee Webster) of Renfrew,
Ontario. Bill and Frankie met while they were teaching in Orillia. Later on she taught Latin, English and Frenchat East Elgin (Aylmer), Providence College (Brantford), and Paris District H.S.  An exceptional student at Renfrew Collegiate and Queen’s, Frankie stayed in touch with the many friends she made along the way. She often filled in on the organ at St. James in Paris. Always a lady, she liked antiques, Wayne and Shuster and gloried in her very old house in Paris on Banfield Street. Frankie was a grateful cancer survivor and a devout Christian. Special thanks to Reverend Lola and the palliative team at Ridgeview LTC. Visitation will be held from 1 – 3p.m. on Wednesday, March 14 at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home at 796 Upper Gage Avenue with service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society, Community Living or Salvation Army would be appreciated. Condolences can be made at www.dermodys.com
