Obituary for Maryanne Patricia Vizzari (Glen)

Maryanne Patricia Vizzari (Glen)
Vizzari, Maryanne Patricia (nee Glen)
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday May 11, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital, to join her husband of 49 years Carmen (2013) and her son Paul (1997). Loving Mom of Joanne Foster (Jeff), Michael (Kathy), and Lisa (Chris). Will be forever remembered by her grandchildren Paul (Stephanie), Andrew, Michael, Kristopher, Amanda, Stephanie (Jeff) and great grandson Jackson. Survived by her sisters in law Cathy, Sara, and brother in law Joe. Predeceased by her brother Jim and in laws Vince and Bonnie. Will be sadly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours, especially Evelyn and Ron, Irene, and Linda “Floee” who have done so much for mom over the years. Maryanne was a graduate of Lorretto Academy. Maryanne was retired from Eatons Department Store and Stelco. She was a long-time member of the CWL at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Maryanne was a faithful member of “skinny club” for over 20 years, the dinners after the meeting won’t be the same (Pass the salt). Mom’s favourite past times were going to the Casino, going out to eat, scratching lottery tickets, playing casino games on her tablet and lap top and watching her favourite soap operas. A heartfelt thank you to Nurse Jason at Juravinski Emergency for his exceptional care, and the wonderful doctor and nursing team at St. Peter’s 3 West for treating mom with dignity and respect. The family will receive friends at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Monday, May 14 from 6-8pm and Tuesday, May 15th from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Vigil prayers will be said at 2pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (305 East 37th St) on Wednesday, May 16th at 11am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated. On-line condolences can be made to www.dermodys.com
