SPARROCK, Mary “Theresa”

Passed away surrounded by family, at the Hamilton Juravinski Hospital on May 31, 2018 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Bert of 59 years. Loving mother of Donna Kumar, David, Michael (Mirjana), Michelle (Michael Henderson), and Raymond. Loving grandma of Josh, Sacha, Shelley, Olivia, Lisa, Cole and Quinn. Theresa was an active member of the CWL (Catholic Womens League) for 62 years. Over her lifetime she did extensive volunteer work which included work at the Cancer Clinic at Juravinski Hospital. Her kindness and generosity of spirit encompassed her life with her famous care packages to all in need and her long list of charities. Theresa was an avid gardener and her love of flowers was rewarded with Trillium Awards. Our mom was the mother we would wish for everyone, the rock of our family and the glue that kept us together. Her love and compassion lives on in all of us. Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the staff at the Juravinski Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit for their outstanding efforts and amazing care over the last week. We would also like to thank our extended family and friends for their endless support. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (20 Idlewood Ave.) on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 10am. Cremation to follow and private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to two of her favourite charities – Doctors without Borders or the Good Shepherd Hamilton would be appreciated by the family. www.dermodys.com
