Yachetti, Armindo

Passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 27, 2018 in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Ida (2009), and infant son Anthony. Loving father of Ron, Mary, and Charlie. Loved nonno of Tom, Billy, Austin, Dean, Michael, Cecelia, and Sophia. Predeceased by his siblings Elvira, Anselmo, Genesio, and his 7 brothers and sisters-in-law. Survived by his sisters-in-law Vincenza, Audrey, Rina, Teresa, and brother-in-law Tommaso. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada, Italy, and the United States. Armindo was a retiree of Stelco Hilton Works Local 1005. He had a passion for wine-making and watching his garden grow. Special thanks to the PSWs, Julia and her nursing staff from St. Joseph’s home care, and care co-ordinator Janet for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (1919 King St. E. between Rosedale and Cochrane) on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 11am-1pm with a Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 1pm. Entombment to follow at Bayview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice in memory of Armindo would be appreciated by the family.
