At Macassa Lodge on October 27th, 2018, peacefully surrounded by his family, Vincenzo Vergata passed away in his 90th year. Cherished father of Maria Aiello (nee Vergata), and Patricia Vergata (Matteo Santucci). Loving Nonno of Jenna, Mia, and Michael. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy and the U.S.A. Predeceased by his parents, Francesco & Maria, sisters Anna and Concetta, brothers Filippo, Giuseppe, Domenico, Pietro and Antonio. Special thanks to the extraordinary staff of Macassa Lodge for the loving care and compassion shown to our father and our family during his stay. At the family’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Uppe Gage Ave., on Monday, October 29th from 6-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Blessed Sacrament Parish on Tuesday, October 30th at 11am. Burial to take place at a later date in Settingiano, Italy.
