It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas (McDonald) Young on June 28, 2014 at the Windsor Regional Hospital in his 54th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Sharon (nee Donnelly). Most loving father and best friend of Andrew, Benjamin, and Alexandra. Cherished son of Jane Penick and the late Alexander Young. Loving brother of Alexander (Carla), and Hazel (Christopher). Most loved brother-in-law of Margaret (Brian), Brenda, Brian (Sue), Elaine (Neil), James, Patrick and Ann Marie. Dearly loved uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Doug will be sadly missed by his many friends and best friends Pam and Rick Lord. Douglas loved golfing and going to his children’s soccer games. He will be lovingly remembered for his dedication to his family and helping everyone in his life. He will always be loved and greatly missed. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Thursday, July 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Prayers will be said on Thursday at 8:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Margaret Mary Parish on Friday, July 4th at 10:30am. Burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
