My dear Annelies passed away, leaving behind her husband John who were married for 63 years. Loving mother of Robert and Hans (Liz). Predeceased by her daughter Alexandra and granddaughter Elisha Lamers. Annelies will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jonahan, Zuza, little Theo, Pauline and Will. Dear sister of Gemma and Bert in The Netherlands. Annelies was a school secretary at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Winona for many years and later in her retirement doing Meals on Wheels for the VON. She also worked in the library. Annelies was a long-time member of the Dutch Canadian Veterans Association. Annelies passed away at Idlewyld Manor Nursing Home where she was for almost 4 years. Many thanks to the Manor for the excellent care, especially the staff at Creekside. Visitation will be held at P.X DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Tuesday, May 16th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Annunciation of our Lord Parish on Wednesday, May 17th at 11am. Cremation to follow.
