Kathryn Clarke
My deepest condolences to the Braun and Kaczmarczyk families on the passing of dearest Kosha. I saw her last in 1965 when you came with Sister Betty to visit me in New Toronto. I spent many hours at the Kaczmarczyk home years ago in Scotchtown and always felt welcome. Joe, Betty and I, would listen to our favourite programs on the radio. Sister Betty and I are long time friends from school and living on the same street for many years. I was honoured to be allowed to turn the Sheet Music for Kosha on occasion as she practised at home. She would play a Scottish or Irish tune if I asked her. So talented, so kind and so modest. My autograph book is long gone but I remember what she wrote in it. "There are gold ships and there silver ships but there are no ships like friendships." Rest in peace my friend. Kaye (MacNevin) Clarke
