When I surfed the internet by chance, I recognized my uncle Rigo on a photo on Google. Thanks to Google, I now know that my dear uncle Rigo is finally with my Aunt Bridget in heaven. I have to thank for wonderful holidays in Toronto and Hamilton with my brothers and parents who have already passed away. Thanks to the indescribably generous hospitality in Canada, which we were allowed to enjoy in the rooms of the cousins, who gave them for us. We learned Kentucky Fried Chicken long before it came to Germany, and the great Canadian donuts. My dad and my uncle Rigo went fishing, while we were allowed to admire dormice in the garden and marvel at the huge pumpkins and melons our uncle bred, which fascinated me personally. He also explained to us children what pollination is all about. He even managed to get my dad to worship! This Canadian service was a very special experience for me, as it became clear to me as a child that language barriers do not really exist. Aunt Bridget selflessly took care of our food and the Canadian cuisine was exciting for us children, because it has very different nuances than a German regular kitchen. At that time I got to know salad in special varieties, which I love to this day. I extend my sincere heartfelt sympathy to my cousins Kevin and David and their families in Canada for having dreamed of meeting my uncle again. Unfortunately, it was not granted to me anymore.
