Passed away at home on September 24, 2018 in Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 85 after a lengthy illness. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Philip and son Brian. She is survived by her loving sons Nicholas (Mary), Micheal (Fiona), Philip Jr., grandchildren Tara, Dylan, Hilary, Desmond, and great-grandchild Charles. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (1919 King Street East - between Rosedale and Cochrane) on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of your choice. A prayer in Shirley’s name would be greatly appreciated. A burial of Shirley and Philip’s cremated remains will take place at a later date at their son Brian’s grave in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
