Born in Poland on January 27th, 1923, passed away peacefully at Regina Gardens on Friday, March 1, 2019 in her 97th year. Sophie is survived by her loving son Edward (Luann), her grand-children Joshua (Stephanie), Kara and her great-grandson Macarthur, “her Prince”. Predeceased by her husband Edward. Sophie was an amazingly strong woman. She played such a large role in the lives of her family and will be dearly missed by all. Visitation will be held at P.X DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, at 796 Upper Gage Ave. on Tuesday March 5th, 2019 from 2-4 p.m followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony starting at 4p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Ronald McDonald House (https://www.rmhccanada.ca/donation) are appreciated.
