After dealing with a long period of illness, Ruth passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, March 18, 2019 in her 79th year. Ruth was the loving wife of Harry Furry. She will be deeply missed by her sons Gary (Judy) Atkinson and Jason (Janice) Furry.
Grandmother of Shannon (Jack-David) Lowery, Trevor Atkinson, Kasey Furry, Ryan Furry, and Sarah Atkinson. Great-grandmother of Elliot Lowery, Parker Lowery, Elise Furry, and Charlotte Lowery. Predeceased by her parents Anthony and Anna Randazzo, and siblings John (Connie) Randazzo, Charlie (Beatrice) Randazzo, Danny (Jane) Randazzo, Mary (Gasper) Busecca, Sarah (Tony) Dicecca, Annie (Jim) Damiani, Anna (Tony) Aruit, Lucy (Arther) Apps, Joe Patti, Jessie (Pat) Napoli, and Victor (Joy) Randazzo. Survived by her siblings Sam (Vera) Randazzo, Rose (Stan) Frost, and Tom (Ophelia) Randazzo, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all Doctors and Nurses at the Hamilton General Hospital for the caring of Ruth.
Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave. Hamilton) on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 1p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1 p.m.
If desired, memorial contributions to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
