It is with sadness we announce the passing of Frederick James Cunningham at St. Peter’s Hospital (Hamilton) on Monday, June 3rd, 2019. Beloved husband of Elnora Valenzuela Cunningham, and father of Marcelo Sangueza (Lisa), and Paul Cunningham (Sandra). He was the loving grandfather of Julia, Marcelo Jr., James and Lillian. He was the son of the late Gordon and Lillian Cunningham. He was predeceased by brothers Paul, John, Gordon, Gerald, and his sisters Reta, Sr. Jean, and Sr. Dympna (both of the Sisters of St. Joseph Order Hamilton). He is survived by his sister Patricia Tymchuk (Walter), and brothers Wilfred, Ronald, Douglas (Carol), Daniel, and Joseph. He will be missed by his many nieces, and nephews as well as the church communities of St. John the Baptist, St. Elizabeth of Hungary and the Legion of Mary.

Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral home (1919 King St. E. Ham. On.) Wed. June 5th from 1-5 p.m. (prayer vigil 2-3 p.m.) and 6-8 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Church (128 Edgemont St. S. Ham. On.) on Thurs. June 6th at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (Burlington). Reception to follow at St. Elizabeth Residence Auditorium (391 Rymal Rd. W. Ham. Enter at Garth entrance). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Chalice Canada or Don Bosco Missions.
