Obituary for Juliette Champion (Rivard)

Champion, Juliette “Judy” (nee Rivard)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Juliette Champion on July 4, 2019 at St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Larry Champion (2015). Loving mother of Renee (the late Patrick), Karen (Mike), Jane (Ron), Marie (Pappy), Anita (Pete), and Nancy (Ian). Dear grandma of Nissa (Greg), Mac (Jen), Sara (Kyle), Samantha (James), Johnny (Jessica), Jacob, Thomas (Kristen), Reet (Bay), Chloe, Adrien, Ben, Alanna (Mike), Alyssa (Mike), and Breanna (Kristen). Great grandma of Cyreelia, Avyne, Xavier, Emjay, Charlie, Asia, Koby, Aria, Isla, Mila, and Dakota. Dear sister of Paul (Simone), and Earl (Sandra). Predeceased by her brothers Armand (Ruby), and Rene (Lucy) and sister Anita (Aimee). Survived by several nieces and nephews. Juliette practiced her faith with a steadfast devotion always wiling to help the needy, feed the hungry and loved generously. She was a retired teacher, real estate agent, and was a seamstress – even having made wedding dresses for her children. Her creativity and determination made her an entrepreneur and she was a woman ahead of her time. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Saturday, July 6th from 9-1030am followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the many wonderful and compassionate staff at St. Peter’s for their care and kindness shown to Juliette. On-line condolences can be made to www.dermodys.com
