Ava passed away peacefully in the loving embrace of her mother and father on September 5, 2019. She was the cherished and adored daughter of Garrett and Gabrielle. In her short life she has touched the lives of her parents, grandparents, and so many family members, and close friends. Her sweet smile, and gentleness will be dearly missed, and her courage will be remembered always. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Friday September 6, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, 38 Emerson St., on Saturday September 7, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to McMaster Children’s Hospital, The Children’s Wish Foundation, or the Ronald McDonald House.
