Passed away peacefully on March 6, 2020 at The Meadows in his 90’s. Loving husband of Nieves. Loving father of Elsie Mederos Alonso(Vladimir) and Raul Mederos Alonso(Irina). Loving grandfather of Catherine, Carolyn, and Jose Raul. He is survived by his sister Mirta and predeceased by his siblings Fela, Pire, Titina, Yayo, Juan, Lin, Nena, and Nana. He will be greatly missed by many other family and friends. A special thanks to the staff at the Meadows for all of their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Monday March 9, 2020 from 4-7 pm. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
