I would like to express my condolences to Dave, Vince and all Ray's family and friends. He will be greatly missed. I know and appreciate Ray through his wonderfully generous spirit and musical contributions at St Elizabeth's Village where my parents live. However, I first meet him at your home Dave, in '79 ish? when we would hang out and listen to music, or listen to you making music! Your home was a happy and welcoming place to be and your Mom's chocolate cake was outstanding. My deepest sympathies to you all during this very difficult time. Paula Radigan LaPorta

It is with sadness we read of Ray's passing. Our condolences to Hedy and family.

Martha and I still talk of Ray, Hedy and Michelle visiting us at our cottage in Manomet, Mass (Cape Cod) and Ray singing 'The Last Farewell' while drying dishes in the kitchen. I had the pleasure of working with Ray at Stelco Research for fifteen years, and sharing a patent with him. Ray was a brilliant machinist, always ready to learn more about any subject, and a real 'people' person. We had good times working on research (outhouse) projects at some of Stelco's 'outer' works, like Gananoque and Swansea during mill trials. Ray seemed to know everyone, and was well respected.

So many great memories of Uncle Ray. Music , card games, family Christmas parties and celebrating all of our birthdays together for many many years. Always the one to organize the family hikes, horseback riding, boat trips and waterskiing! And also the one to explain the mechanics of things ever so patiently no matter how many questions we asked. Always tinkering away with something in the garage. I’ll treasure the memories of us building the Ikea furniture together while having rye and cokes as well as the fun times spent at Lake Kenessis, watching sunsets, over after dinner libations. You made my formative years so much fun. Miss you so much already ❤️

This hits hard. Uncle Ray you were by far my favourite. You welcomed me on family vacations to Lake Kenisis and gave me a male role model along with grandpa, when it was needed. So many memories of gatherings at your house on Hoover Cres, pool tournaments and always your singing and piano playing along with David, Michelle and Vince. YOU made our family fun. I will never forget after Nanas funeral and all of us gathered around your kitchen table playing cards in her memory. We were a family. Memories to cherish always.
