It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Walton (Mayor of the Northend) on February 18, 2017 at home in his 58th year. Beloved son of the late William and Dorothy Walton. Loving brother of Billy (Marlene), Patrick (Angela), Maureen (Jaime) and Robert (Beth). Loving uncle to several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins. John was involved with the day program at Inch Park through the Association of Community Living. Special thanks to Nikki, Don and Cecile from Community Living for all of their years of supporting John. Special thanks also to St. Elizabeth Home Care PSWs, Laura and Claudette. Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 7 East Ave South on Wednesday, February 22 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Rosary will be said on Wednesday at 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Lawrence Church on Thursday, February 23 at 10 am. Burial to take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
