PAULINE COURCHESNE(née Labrie)
April 10, 1945 - March 14, 2017.
Pauline passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack, March 14, 2017 in her 71st orbit around the sun. Born in Ramore , Ontario, April 10, 1945, she is predeceased by her first born son, Guy and her parents Ludger Labrie and Berthe Giroux. She is survived by her husband, Renaud, her daughter Liette Fadden (Dave), her son Roger (Kirstyn), her grandchildren, Riley, Skyla-Rae, Soleil, her four step-grandchildren, Nathanyl, Sawyer, Bronwyn and Sinclair. She will be deeply missed by her 4 year old great granddaughter, Josie Fadden, by her brother Chris Labrie (Carole), her sisters Joyanne Andrews (Garry), Claudette Paul, Suzanne Labrie and her many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pauline graduated from Timmins High and Vocational school with high honours. She worked as secretary for Insurances firms until her daughter's birth in 1966. Pauline and Renaud were married in Matheson, Ontario, on October 26, 1963.
As a dedicated homemaker, Pauline was instrumental in Renaud's pursuit of his B.A., M.Ed. and supervisory's papers. There is very little that Pauline couldn't do: sewing, appliance repairs, superb cooking and outstanding story teller and a very creative artist.
She was group leader at Queen of Apostles' Marriage Encounters in Mississauga, and assisted with Baptism & Marriage preparation courses at St Joseph Church in Streetsville.
As a member of the St Elizabeth Retirement community In Hamilton, she volunteered at the Villa and entertained the residents with her never ending energy, story telling and clown outfit.
A lady with a big heart , she was a natural caregiver. She always thought of the needs of others and would rush to help out, sharing her numerous talents with the needy.
Cremation has taken place. A Mass will be held at Annunciation of Our Lord, Catholic Church, 280 Limeridge Rd West, L9C 2V2, on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a reception to be announced at the Mass.
