Obituary for Elizabeth Jean "Betty" Mills (Hicks)
Mills, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Hicks)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Mills on October 19, 2017 at the Juravinski Hospital in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Ivor Mills (2015). Loving mother of Danny Mills (Myrtle), Joanne Mills, and predeceased by her infant son Ivor Jr. Dear grandma of Lee Anne, Lori (Ken Reh), Geoffrey and great grandma of Caitlyn, Joshua, Dylan and Mackenzie. Dear sister of Gladys Johnston (the late Frank), and Ernest Hicks (Shirley). Survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her three kitties, Tommy, Mollie, and Millie. Betty will be lovingly remembered for her quick wit, and love of the outdoors especially flowers and the beauty of butterflies. She enjoyed her trips to the casino and the fun of watching the Toronto Blue Jays. She was a devoted wife and mother. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit at Juravinski Hospital for their care and compassion during her illness. Also, a specail thank you to a very dear friend, Rose. Visitation will be held at P.X DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Monday, October 23rd from 11am-1pm followed by a chapel service in the funeral home at 1pm. Burial to take place at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery, Niagara Falls, ON. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. On-line Condolences can be made at www.dermodys.com
