Harold entered the gates of heaven peacefully after a sudden brief illness, at Juravinski Hospital surrounded by family on Monday January 15. Harold, formerly of Assiniboia Saskatchewan was the eldest of seven siblings and the beloved husband of the late Frieda (Gateman). Pre-deceased by his loving daughter Sharon (Ian) and dearly missed by children Judy (Jim) and Connie. Beloved and respected by grandchildren Christine (Stephen), Geoffrey (Sara), Steven (Paula), and Christopher, and by great grandchildren Zackery, Calvin, Andrew, Jack, Emma, Elizabeth, and Makenna, as well as many nieces and nephews, especially Ellen and her two children Tyler and Lauren. Supported at home in Hamilton until his 100th year by Bayshore Health Care staff, especially Arlyn and Renaliza who took great care of him. Other dedicated caregivers, especially Denise, Linda, Darlene and Anna, assisted in his comfort at his home. Contact family for final funeral arrangements. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
