Father Phil filled a void in my life over 40 years ago after my father died. He was my teacher at Cathedral, my mentor and my friend. He loved story telling. Always a keen observer, the stories he shared were the stories of the people in his life; they usually contained a gem of wisdom and a large dose of humour. Generous and forgiving, he is surely in the presence of God.
